It was because of Viji that I didn’t get cholestasis and had an amazing VBAC…

Six weeks into her 2nd pregnancy, Pradeepthi contacted me for help. She was induced at 37 weeks for her first baby due to cholestasis and had a c-section. In the postpartum, she developed additional related complications and hoped for a different experience her second time.

Hers was a complicated case. All the doctors she had seen told her it was impossible to prevent cholestasis's recurrence, have a vaginal birth, and avoid her other pregnancy and postpartum complications. With a shortened cervix, she had to be on progesterone, which increased her cholestasis chances to 100%.

Hiring me early on, she decided she would try and prove them wrong. We started with the Ayurvedic analysis and worked deliberately and diligently to understand and address her entire health landscape. Ayurvedic principles are strong and sound. We met often and followed a multidimensional approach to her care.

With statistics stacked against her, it would be critical that we secured a team that would encourage her and support her in her attempt to have a vaginal birth.

One's mental and emotional approach to birth plays a huge role, and when you build a team that continually supports that, you have the confidence and surrender to trust your body.

The outcome for Pradeepthi: Contrary to her first experience of having every intervention available and not dilating past 5cm, she had never developed cholestasis, had a short labor, delivered vaginally to a healthy baby boy, and didn't experience any postpartum issues.

Pradeepthi was guided to take her health into her own hands and regain wellness. It would be an understatement to say that her entire life changed from our work together. When you feel empowered and are given hope, anything is possible!
