Born and raised in Kolkata, India, Souvik's life was transformed at the age of 4 when he was introduced to Yoga at Yogananda's College of Yoga to help control his acute asthma. From there, Souvik's spiritual journey took off, with early studies in philosophy from the monks of Ramakrishna Mission and Tagore's cultural influence shaping his growth.

At just 8 years old, Souvik was initiated into spiritual life by his family priest and began his lifelong learning journey in Jyotish, tantra, spirituality, and dharma. Throughout his life, he was fortunate to be trained in 3 lineages of Jyotish, meeting his second and third gurus during his engineering days and first job, respectively.

In 2009, Souvik established his Jyotish school, AIAC, and has since lectured at numerous prestigious universities and venues across the United States, including Stanford University and the Veda MeLA. He also regularly holds lectures on Hindu philosophy, Mantra Shastra, Jyotish, and Hindu mythology in Chicago and its suburbs.

Beyond teaching, Souvik also does private client consultations and has more than 100 articles published in various astrology magazines and online. Today, Souvik lives in Aurora, IL with his wife, Amrita, and their two children, Hridaan and Monishka.
